Account Manager - Your Print Your Cause representative that can assist with graphics help, converting files, store builds, store design audits, and more! 

Account Portal - The dashboard where you will be able to access and manage your store(s). You will also be access tools such as the Order Now tool to create bulk orders, Payments and Disbursement tool to add a credit card on file, and the Account Security tool where you can add additional administrators to the account.

Administrator - An approved user on the account that will be able to make changes, add products, create bulk orders and more.

Artwork - We define artwork as the raw file containing the graphic to be printed. We accept artwork in the form of a PNG or vector file (.AI, .PDF, .EPS).

Base Item Cost - Also called "item cost," this is the cost of fulfillment for the decorated item. This price includes the cost of blank product, cost of decoration, cost of labor, etc. Store administrators can add a final sales price markup to this cost to earn a profit.

Branding - The personalization options that can be added to the storefront and email messages.

Bulk Order - An order purchased at-cost from the Order Now tool. Bulk discounts will be applied in real time at specific quantities.

Category - A way to organize the products in your store. Please note, all products in the store must be assigned to a category to show in the live store.

CSV File - Also called a "comma seperated values" file. A file format that can be used to import multiple orders or import gift/discount codes at the same time.

Custom Fields - Input fields that can be added to the check out page. Custom fields are often used to collect information from customers or as way to help organize and distribute bulk pickup orders.

Customization - An optional design aspect that can be added to many products where your customers can add text of their choice. For example, a custom name added to the back of a t-shirt.

Decoration Method - The various ways we can add your artwork to products.

Design - The specifications or instructions of how your artwork is printed. Our design specifications include the artwork, decoration method, print size(s), and print location(s). Designs can be saved to be reused on similar products.

Design ID - A unique identifier assigned to each design by the system.

Design Name - An optional unique identifier assigned to each design by the store administrator.

Digitization - The process of converting artwork into an embroidery file. We can accept artwork in the form of a PNG or a vector file (.AI, .PDF, .EPS). 

Direct-to-Film (DTF) - A decoration method in which artwork is printed onto film and then adhered to the product using heat and pressure.

Direct-to-Garment (DTG) - A decoration method in which artwork is printed onto the product itself. The ink is then cured in an oven.

Disabling a Product - The process of removing a product from the live store. Disabled products can be viewed under the products tab under the Disabled Products filter. Disabled products can be restored at any time.

Disbursement - The process of paying out profits earned from your store. Profits are disbursed quarterly or upon request. We partner with Melio to handle our disbursements. 

Discount Code - A reusable code with no limit to the number of uses. This would be your general percentage or dollar off the entire order for anyone with access to the code.

DST - The file format of embroidery files. It's likely that you will not be able to open this type of file without embroidery software downloaded onto your device. To view your DST file, please upload into your account. 

Embedding a Store - The process of seamlessly adding your Print Your Cause storefront to a section of your organization's webpage. Your customers will be able to shop your storefront without leaving your website.

Embroidery - A decoration method in which artwork is stitched onto the product using a speciality sewing machine.

Final Sales Price - The cost of a product listed in the live storefront. This is the purchase price of the product that the customer will see.

Final Sales Price Markup - The amount of profit added to the base item cost of the product(s) in your store. Markups can be added as a dollar amount or a percantage of the base item cost. Your organization keeps 100% of the profit made from the store!

Free Gift Store - A store option offered with our Gift Platform that allows you to gift one free item to your recipients. Sales prices are removed from this store option, so your recipient won't know how much the item costs.

Gift Category - An designated category assigned to gift codes. Gift recipients will only be able to redeem gift codes within the assigned categories.

Gift Code - Unique codes that allow you to extend a specific dollar amount, or free gift (to either the store or specified category) to your customers, similar to a traditional gift card.

Gift Store - A store option offered with our Gift Platform that allows you to gift a virtual gift card redeemable with a cash balance or for one free gift. 

Heat Seal Patch - A decoration method in which a patch is decorated by laser engraving or sublimation and then adhered to the product using heat and pressure.

Import Orders - A method of submitting multiple individual orders in bulk using a CSV file.

Inventory - The number of available sizes and colors of a particular product. Inventory numbers shown in the account are updated in real time from our suppliers. 

Laser Engraving - A decoration method in which hard goods are decorated using massive amount of energy to generate the high heat required for vaporization. The laser acts like a chisel to remove layers of material, leaving your artwork carved into the product.

Live Store - Also called "storefront." The customer-facing store where orders can be placed. To set your store to live, select the "click here" link from the orange banner on your store build page.

Order Confirmation Message - An optional, custom message that will appear in the order confirmation email sent from our system once an order is placed.

Order Notification - An optional notification that store administrators will receive when an order is placed in the store.

Points Store - A store option with our Gift Platform that allows to gift a point total to your recipients. Products in the store will be assigned a point value instead of a dollar amount. 

Print-on-Demand - A streamlined approach to order fulfillment in which blank products are ordered, decorated, and shipped for each individual order as it is received. This approach allows us to offer no hassle swag stores with no order minimums and no inventory for you to manage.

Product - An decorated item that can be added to the storefront. 

Product Description - The details listed for each product that may include fabric cotton, product features, and fabric weight. This description will be shown on the live storefront. Store administrators can edit this description

Product Name - The title given to each product that will show in the live storefront. Store administrators can edit the product name.

Product Page - A page included in store portal where you can add products, set the final sales price markup, arrange the product display images, and more.

Profit - The difference of the the final sales price and the base item cost. This is amount of money that organization will earn when the product is sold. 

Promotional Products - Products that are not available for print-on-demand. We can source a variety of promotional products that can be purchased in bulk. Promotional products may be added to your online storefront as a 3PL (third party logistics) item.

Melio - A platform that handles our profit disbursement. Store administrators can select their preferred disbursement method through a secure link from Melio.

Nesting a Product -  A method of organizing similar products into one product listing. A product can be nested under a parent product of similiar design. For example, a product with a blue logo can be nested under a product with the same logo of another color. These products will show under the same product listing in the live store.

Raiser's Edge NXT Integration (RE NXT) - An integration that allows you to export your customer's demographic information such as name, email address, and shipping address.

Resolution - The clarity and detail of a design file. It is measured by the number of dots or pixels contained in a specified area, for example, DPI is dots per inch and PPI is pixels per inch. Our system requires a minimum resolution of 150 DPI at a print size of 10-12 inches. 

Restoring a Product - The process of enabling a disabled product

Samples - A discounted order for store admininstrators to test fit, feel, and quality of our products and decoration methods.

Screen Printing - A decorotion method in which your artwork is burned into a mesh screen to create a stencil for ink to pass through. Screen printing is not available for print-on-demand. 

Screen Print Transfer (SPT) - A decoration method in which your artwork is screen printed onto film and then adhered to the product using heat and pressure. Screen Print Transfers are not available for print-on-demand.

Shipping Methods - The options provided at check out for customer's to select their preferred shipping time. Shipping methods include standard, expedited, and overnight. Please contact your account manager if you would like expedited and overnight shipping methods added to your account.

Shopify Integration - An integration that allows you to connect your Shopify store with your Print Your Cause account for order fulfillment. Orders from your Shopify store will be automatically imported to our platform about every 10 minutes. Print Your Cause will fulfillment and ship the order to your customer.

Stripe - A secure payment processor used to collect payment for orders, to invoice for services, and to automatically charge monthly or yearly subscriptions.

Store Build - An optional service in which your account managers will add your specified products to your storefront.

Store Dates - The opening and closing dates assigned to a store. Stores will automatically close on the closing date.

Store Design Audit - An optional service in which our design team will assess the designs built in your self-service store to ensure optimal print quality.

Storefront - The customer-facing store where orders can be placed.

Storefront Message - An optional, custom message that will appear on above the product listings in your storefront. 

Storefront Password - An optional security measure requiring customers to input a password to enter the store. The password is set by store administrators.

Store Preview - A method of viewing the storefront before the store has been set to live. The store can be previewed by clicking the blue "storefront" label beneath the store name in the account portal.

Store Portal - The dashboard where store administrators will be able to add products, upload artwork, view orders and more. 

Sublimation - A decoration method in which artwork is inversely printed on transfer paper and then adhered to the product using heat and pressure.

Third Party Logistics - Also called 3PL. 3PL products are promotional products that can be added to your online storefront. Print Your Cause will order, store, and fulfill 3PL orders. Please note, 3PL is only available with our Premium subscription and has additional fees associated. 

White Label Store - A store hosted by Print Your Cause that has no Print Your Cause branding. Everything from the storefront, email confirmation message, to the shipping label will contain only your organization's branding.
