1. Turn Your Garment Inside Out: Before washing, we recommend flipping your garment inside out. This simple step helps protect the applied transfer from any rough elements it might encounter during the wash, such as zippers or buttons from other garments.
2. Wash Cold & Line Dry: For optimal results, wash your garment in cold water and air dry. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners. If you're pressed for time, you can use a dryer on the delicate or tumble dry low setting, but be aware that continued use of the dryer may cause the plastisol to break down, leading to issues like cracking or peeling—especially with specialty transfers like glitter and puff. We strongly advise against drying glitter transfers, as it may reactivate the gloss coating and cause sticking. Similarly, puff transfers should also be kept out of the dryer to prevent cracking.
3. Double Check the Care Instructions: Always refer to the care instructions on your garment. If they recommend a more gentle washing method, such as hand-washing, it's best to follow those guidelines to avoid any damage to your garment.
By following these simple steps, you can help ensure the longevity of your garment and the quality of your applied transfer.
